The Elgin signature sits on a flowing scroll with a curved ‘n’ and decorative flourishes that carry into the surrounding lettering. Long Roman numerals give the dial an elegant presence, while the outer minute track adds legibility with bold indices every five minutes and triangular markers every fifteen. The layout is balanced, cohesive, and an absolute pleasure to read. Turn the watch over and the craftsmanship continues. The piece is powered by the 15-jewel Grade 121, a short-run movement produced only between 1892 and 1896 in Elgin, Illinois. Every component was carefully restored in our Little Rock, Arkansas workshop. Screws and steel hardware were thermally colored by hand for deep blue accents and corrosion resistance. The jewel settings, gear train, balance, and balance weights were individually polished to restore their original golden tone. The original moon-style hands were refinished one at a time, polished to a mirror finish to remove corrosion, and heat-blued over an alcohol lamp to achieve a rich iridescent blue that has excellent contrast against the white of the dial. A short-production Elgin paired with traditional handcraft, brought back to life in Little Rock, Arkansas 🇺🇸 (read more about us [here](https://www.littlerocksoiree.com/relics-to-riches-what-makes-frett-co-clockworks-tick/)). **Price**: $3,449, But negotiable—especially to someone with an interest getting into vintage American watchmaking. **Case**: 316L stainless (surgical steel), 40 mm diameter, 48 mm lug to lug, 13 mm height, sapphire crystals AR coated, front crystal domed, and 50 meters water resistance.
