This unique and versatile watch is the product of a collaboration between British Fashion Designer Vivienne Westwood and Swiss Watchmakers Swatch. It was released as the ‘Putti’ watch’ - ‘putti’ (singular, putto) being the name of the oftentimes winged infants depicted in many works of art, including the one displayed on this watch. The artwork featured on the watch, ‘The Swarm of Cupids’ (c. 1767) by Jean-Honoré Fragonard, inspired many of Westwood’s designs throughout her A/W 1991 and S/S 1992 collections, ‘Dressing Up’ & ‘Salon’.
