This particular example features a stunning brown linen dial that shimmers beautifully under the light, giving off subtle golden and chocolate tones depending on the angle. The texture is intricate yet understated, perfectly balanced by applied rectangular indices and sharp dauphine hands that speak to Seiko’s meticulous finishing at the time. The case, measuring approximately 36.5mm, follows the classic “Grammar of Design” language with crisp lines and elegant proportions that wear effortlessly on the wrist. Powering this watch is Seiko’s high-beat Caliber 5216, running at 28,800 vibrations per hour. The “Special” designation on the dial denotes that this movement was factory-regulated for enhanced precision which is a step above the standard Lord Matic line. It features both hand-winding and hacking capabilities, along with a bilingual day-date display, showcasing Seiko’s technical prowess in compact form. The watch is in excellent condition, with almost no scratches nor dents. The crystal is clear and clean, dial is flawless. It comes on the original OEM Seiko Bracelet with extension clasp that can fits up to 20cm (8 inches wrist). The movement has recently been serviced and is keeping excellent time at +/-5s a day.
