Hello Watchex, Up for sale is a truly historic piece from Seiko’s early dive-watch lineage — the Seikomatic SilverWave “Mark I”, reference J12082. This is Seiko’s first-ever watch with a rotating inner bezel, released in 1961, two full years before the 62MAS debuted. Featuring the iconic “Tsunami” caseback and powered by the high-grade 30-jewel Seikomatic automatic movement, this model set the groundwork for Seiko’s future in professional diving watches. The “SilverWave” script and sharp dauphine hands complement a beautifully aged sunburst dial. These rarely come up in such clean, all-original condition. For reference, my wrist is 17cm (6.69 inches) and the watch sits very nicely on it. Condition: Excellent vintage condition. The dial shows beautiful aging with clean markers and fully legible text. Crystal has light scratches consistent with age. The inner rotating bezel works smoothly. Case is unpolished. Movement winds smoothly and keeps good time.
