For sale is a Citizen Eco Drive ar5000-68. It is an ultra thin quartz watch, coming in at only 2.98mm thick with a 39mm diameter. This is the white dial version, which is slightly different from the black dial version because it has applied indices at 12, 2, 4, 6, 8, and 10 hour markers. It is waterproof to 3atm, is light powered by Eco Drive, and has a 10 month power reserve. There are some scratches on the bracelet and very minor on a few parts of the case. The bezel, which is made out of Cermet (a ceramic and metal composite), has no scratches. The case and bracelet are treated with Duratec. I love this watch because of the details: For example, the four screws in the bezel are functional and not purely decorative. The case is opened through the dial, not the case back, so the screws are what keep the watch held together. It’s done this way to minimize the thickness. Also, the case back is perfectly mirror polished, which is a striking finish on such a large surface, similar to Grand Seiko zaratsu finishing. The dial rehaute is also mirror polished, and since it has a gentle inward angle, the dial plays with light beautifully. The Cermet bezel is slightly darker than the steel case/bracelet, providing for a beautiful contrast. And lastly, the hands and dial are so close to the sapphire crystal that the watch is very easy to read at most angles, making it almost appear to be oil filled.
