Here’s something you don’t see too often – a Longines 4898 with serious 1980s Cartier vibes and a slim octagonal case, Roman numeral dial, and integrated bracelet. The gold-plated (some sources say it’s 18K gold, but I doubt it) bezel adds the perfect dressy touch. It wears like a true vintage piece: super slim on the wrist, easy to wear, and unique enough to stand out from modern watches. It’s an excellent piece for someone who wants to get into vintage quartz watches without committing to a high-end piece, like a Cartier. I noticed that two of the screws (9 and 10 o’clock) are darker, almost as if they rusted. I’ll ask my watchmaker to fix that before shipping, but please don’t count on it, as I don’t know if it’ll be possible.  **Condition:** Honest vintage condition. Hairline scratches throughout consistent with age, but no deep dents. Quartz movement is running without issue.
