The 6139 is one of the most important calibers of the 20th century. Developed by Seiko in the late 60s, it was one of the first automatic chronograph movements to hit the market. This caliber was used in a range of watches, including the 6139-8020 “Rally”. The “Rally” nickname originates from the steel bracelet that often came with the watch. It has a gorgeous brown dial with a yellow chronograph hand and a taupe 30-minute counter. The watch appears to have been serviced, but the start button gets stuck sometimes. I’ll have my watchmaker sort it before shipping. **Condition:** Good for its age. The all-original, unpolished case has some scratches and markings, but nothing too deep or that can’t be polished off if you’d like. The dial is in very good condition. The crystal has minor hairline scratches that can easily be removed.
