I'll be honest, Zelos was never a brand that I sought out - in the many watch related FB groups I'm in, I always felt like they were everywhere, but weren't anything special. Well, call it blissful ignorance or stubborn watch-snobbitis - because every time I buy one, I love it. Zelos is somewhat of a one-man-show, being one of the most successful products ever originated from Kickstarter. Elshan Tang has a keen eye for watch design, and pumps out a few models every year with some bold colors, elaborate dials, and truly unique flair. This Spearfish GMT has a lot to offer - and being backed with a tried-and-true Sellita SW330 GMT movement makes this one hell of a package. The dial is a glossy enamel-esque beaut, and the contrast of gunmetal/black hour markers and hands is a nice touch for high legibility. I'm a sucker for a well-designed case, and this one feels almost Christopher Ward C60-ish, albeit a bit more upright. The bracelet is high quality with nicely finished chamfered edges, and the glide-lock-esque micro adjustment is really well done.
