Good evening, WatxhEx! Second for the evening - a highly sought-after LE from microbrand sensation Zelos: the hand wound Nova 2 Aventurine. Zelos makes such cool stuff, and often at way, way less than their competion. For years I overlooked the brand, call it ignorance or blindness - their first designs were just so bulky and not my jam. The brand has evolved significantly in such a short time, and now I pay attention to every release they have. Zelos is somewhat of a one-man-show, being one of the most successful products ever originated from Kickstarter. Elshan Tang has a keen eye for watch design, and pumps out a few models every year with some bold colors, elaborate dials, and truly unique flair. This Nova 2 has a lot to offer - and being backed with a tried-and-true ETA 7001 movement makes this one hell of a package in a very compact size. The real hero here is the dial - both Aventurine *and* beautifully textured/finishes. Most Aventurine dials are plain, flat, and boring, but Elshan & Co have done an amazing job here. The case is compact without feeling "too small", and wears much like a Nomos Club. Thin, light, and just really, really well-made.
