These chronographs also include an outer decimal scale, divided into tenths of a second rather than sixtieths, intended for scientific research. This design allows the wearer to take precise readings of percentages or units per hour. For example, if the hand is at the 90 mark when a certain number of units pass on a production line, you know that you can produce that number of units in nine-tenths of a minute. Additionally, the dial features a conventional central minutes scale (the dotted circle in the center of the dial intersecting the sub-dials), offering the option of both indications. The watch is powered by the Valjoux 72 movement, the same caliber used in the early Rolex Daytonas.
