For sale is this vintage Elgin USA Stealth, with a Japanese Miyota movement. Elgin USA (Elgin National Watch Company) was founded in Illinois in 1864 and became one of the largest manufacturer of watches in the USA, known for their precision and durability.  This model pays homage to Breitling watches such as the Aerospace with it's pilot watch styling and dual LCD screens. The Stealth is a high-quality watch with the case made completely out of titanium which means the benefits compared to stainless steel being more expensive to produce, higher strength, higher corrosion resistance and more light-weight. It has a uni-directional ratcheting bezel with an aluminium inlay with minute markers in the titanium for dive timing etc. and compass degrees in the aluminium. The markers are lumed (although not as bright as once was) as well as the tips of the skeleton guilt hands. The red tipped seconds hand is in the shape of an aircraft - a nice little detail. It has an impressive 200m water resistance, helped by the screw-down crown and screw-down case back. The titanium case back has some great detail too with the embossed Elgin coat of arms medallion. The digital features include a unique count down/count up timer that lets you count for years from a specific time and date up to the year 2099 from the year 1997 shown in days/hours/minutes/seconds. This feature can also show you elapsed time/days from a specific time and date too. Features also include a daily alarm, independent time, chronograph stopwatch with split time, calendar (month/date/day of week).
