For sale is this vintage Seiko Alarm Quartz 7223-6000, made in Japan in November of 1979. Designed to be used instead of an alarm clock or when scheduling meetings and appointments, Seiko released the Alarm Quartz model in a black dial or white dial. This is example has a pristine pearly white dial with contrasting black stick baton markers that have high-polished sides. The case has very nice bevels with a mix of brushed and polished facets and a grill-style design at the top with the words "Alarm Quartz" embossed in the bezel. The distinctive design feature is the internal rotating bezel that is operated using the secondary crown. Pull it out to the second position and there will be a beep and the dot at the 12 will become red, then you can rotate the internal bezel to the time you want to set for the alarm. The first position is for arming the alarm without accidentally turning the bezel and the dot at the 12 will be a yellow gold colour. There are 4 cut-outs on the case back for amplifying the alarm sound. The watch has a bilingual day of the week in Japanese Kanji and English. The calibre 7223 is beautiful to look at (the movement picture is not my picture but it is the same movement). Brand new battery. Can roughly accommodate a wrist of up to 18.5cm.
