It houses the 8J56 high-accuracy quartz movement, a predecessor to Grand Seiko’s renowned 9F caliber, but often regarded as even more stable and accurate, boasting an impressive accuracy of ±10 seconds per year. The movement features jumping hour adjustment and hacking seconds, hallmarks of Grand Seiko’s dedication to functionality. The watch comes in a 34mm stainless steel case with a slim 9.4mm thickness, 18mm lug width, and 40mm lug-to-lug length. Despite its modest size, it wears larger on the wrist thanks to the thin bezel design. The champagne dial is beautifully understated, with sword-shaped hands, baton hour markers, and a discreet date window at 3 o’clock, all protected by a sapphire crystal. This example is in excellent condition for its age, showing only minor scratches. It has been fully serviced, with the movement disassembled, gaskets cleaned, and a new battery installed — essential maintenance for a watch approaching 30 years. The original bracelet fits up to 18cm wrists , with extra links could be purchased upon request. A custom-made side-stitched leather strap is also included. The watch comes with its original box, though no papers are available.
