This is a 1966 Omega Seamaster De Ville cased in 14k Solid Gold that has a rare “Cartier” stamping on the dial. Thanks to the folks of New York City’s jeweler district, we have confirmed that the Cartier stamping on the dial is legitimate. It was common for Cartier to stamp solid gold watches sold in their boutiques to be stamped with a “Cartier” logo. This would be done after the watch was produced, hence the thicker font. This watch has just come back from a fresh service, and thus has been keeping perfect time. Movement and inside case photos were taken by my watchmaker (shoutout to Chen’s in NYC) before service, so don’t fret about the bare hands haha. The dial is pristine, it is a beautiful sunshine dial that just looks stunning in daylight. We are the second owner of this watch, it was purchased from the family of the original owner. Couple of things to note: It is in great condition for its age, however there is an engraving on the back, and it seems at some point the crown may have been replaced with a plated crown instead of solid, though it does still have the Omega stamping.
