Hello and thanks for checking out my post. I’m letting go of a few of my early vintage purchases to make room for new acquisitions in my watch box. I’m offering these pieces at a discount because I hope they can ignite the spark of collecting like they did for me. 1. Seiko 5 Sportsmatic (1965/66) - This watch was someone’s daily driver before I bought it and it shows. It runs great but shows a good amount of wear. It looks fabulous on the wrist and you can wear it doing just about anything without worrying too much about it. Asking 125 OBO 2. SOLD Bulova Oceanographer (1988-1992) - This watch had a limited run during the late 80’s and early 90’s and is a clear Submariner homage. At 38mm it wears beautifully and is the true definition of a strap monster. The original stainless steel bracelet will be included as well as the distressed leather pictured here. SOLD 3. French RB Skin Diver (Early 70s) - I bought this watch in France and I have yet to find one quote like it ever since. The case shape, the sunburst on the dial and the true patina on the indices make this a very unique watch. It is without a doubt the most comfortable watch I’ve ever owned, it disappears on the wrist in terms of comfort. Asking 450 OBO. 4. SOLD Forsythe Miltary Chrono Landeron 48 (Early 1950’s) - Landeron's column wheel chronograph movements were famous, and the company supplied these movements to many militaries. Examples include Cal. 11 and 13 and the state-of-the-art Cal. 39. Because they held the Breitling patents, Landeron was the exclusive supplier of column wheel chronograph movements until their expiration in the 1930's. Just before World War II, Landeron developed the first cam actuated chronograph. Their Cal. 47 had three pushers: One to start, another to stop, and a third to reset the counter. They refined this movement to become the two-pusher Cal. 48. This would become one of the most popular chronograph movements ever made, with more than 3.5 million examples produced between 1937 and 1970. The lower price of production compared to a column wheel model meant an average person could afford a chronograph for the first time.
