Marin Instrument Odyssey Skin-Diver Matte Black Dial Aged Edition 2024 Marin Instruments is a an independent micro-watch brand founded in 2019 by Justin Walters a satellite engineer. The name Marin comes from a variant of “marine,” reflecting its dive-oriented concept (not tied to Marin County).  The collection is skin diver based and meant to be used as they come with a 5-year warranty. The Odyssey is a variant meant to look like it was recovered from a 1980s diver expedition in Mexico where a set of them were found in an old scuba shop, purchased and resold as refurbished—they are sold new but the listings come with fun fictional stories to give the patina context.  Overall, this one has wear mostly underneath with case back scratches and a few under the lugs from strap changes.
