Hi everyone! Here on offer is this incredible vintage Longines Ultra-Chron bearing the reference 8309, from 1969. This is (in my opinion) the best looking Ultra-Chron execution in this highly innovative line, with its sleek and clean ‘modernist functionality’ aesthetic, yet with a slight futuristic touch to it. The white sunburst dial is flawless with zero signs of aging, punctured with a stylish crosshair design and the Ultra-Chron logo (which looks like a cool lightning bolt). This over-engineered marveI wast poised to beat the then impending quartz crisis—beating at 36,000 BpH; achieving an ultra smooth sweeping hand movement. Its 35mm case is ultra (pun intended) sharp with all of its brushed treatment untarnished, and the nice original steel mesh bracelet is also signed with an applied Longines winged-hourglass logo. It was serviced recently in September before shipping to me, and runs amazingly.
