The original Rolex automatic movement was replaced with a Swiss-designed ETA 2824 clone. This is a high-quality conversion using a billet metal adapter. The case, dial, and case back are all-original genuine Rolex from the year 1972. The hands and bracelet are aftermarket non-Rolex replacements. This piece is considered a mens model, but its 34 millimeter case diameter is on the smaller side by modern standard. It’s slightly smaller (2mm smaller) than a mens Datejust of the same era. Even though this watch has been given new life with fresh internals, it’s still 50+ years old and the case does have some little nicks and dings as shown in photos.
