I have for sale a have for sale a stunning Rolex Explorer II ref.1655 in killer condition: a barn find "Freccione" from 1980, straight from the first owner – hands down the best 1655 I’ve had the chance to handle.

Unpolished case, flawless dial with the most amazing pumpkin patina, punchy bright orange 24-hour hand.

Factory finishing case that shows large lug bevels and thick crown guard, absolutely flawless Mk4 dial, immaculate original tritium lume aged to a pumpkin orange color with plots perfectly matching with the hands, unpolished Mk3 bezel, ‘open 6’ date wheel, exceptional orange 24-hr hand, unpolished solid link 78360/580 Oyster bracelet.

The watch is original in every parts and runs well keeping good time.

CASE:
Unpolished case that still retains its original Rolex finish.
Serial and reference number are fully visible.
Original 1655 caseback.

BEZEL INSERT:
Original unpolished Rolex Mk 3 steel bezel in great conditions.

DIAL/HANDS:
The dial is an original Mk4 dial with a pumpkin tritium patina even on all plots and all lettering is clearly visible and correct.
The hands are tritium and match perfectly to the dial.
Tritium is original and responds correctly to UV light.
Correct open 6 and 9s date wheel.
The original orange 24-hour hand is perfect.

BRACELET:
The bracelet is the original 78360 with 580 endings, unpolished in great condition with all the 13 links; the clasp code (VE) also matches the year of the serial number.

GLASS:
The crystal on the watch is the original Rolex plexiglass (25-116).

MOVEMENT:
Correct 1575 caliber running well.
The movement was serviced 5 years ago and it's in excellent condition.

Asking 28000 Euro, insured shipping included.
