For Sale: Seamaster SMP 300M GMT "50th Anniversary" 2534.50

I've owned this watch for several years and have worn it regularly in rotation. I’ve likely worn it more than most of my pieces as this has been a favorite, usually worn on red and black sailcloth, with a swapped-out COKE AM Bezel insert to give it an individual and different feel as opposed to my other black dialed diving watches (I saw someone had this MOD on the web and had to make mine the same!) I’ve returned it to the original condition with the bracelet and bezel I bought it with. (although this bracelet has the fold over dive buckle with wetsuit extension from the 2234.50, I believe it was swapped sometime before my ownership, but I never minded as I like this clasp with divers extension much better than the butterfly which was apparently prone to opening inopportunely).

This piece comes from my personal collection, part of a small batch I’m currently thinning out. I have no need for a GMT as I don’t travel outside of my time zone often, so this did not make the keeper cut.

About this Model:

~Omega Seamaster Professional GMT 300M Ref. 2534.50.00
60 million serial dating to 1998 /1999.

~ The Omega Seamaster 2534.50.00 is the GMT version of the classic Seamaster Professional 300M, blending the iconic dive watch design with the added functionality of a second time zone. This model is sometimes referred to as the "Great White’s black-dialed cousin," and though less known than the James Bond 2531.80, it’s a favorite among enthusiasts for its unique blend of utility and style.
~ Case: 41mm stainless steel case. (no helium valve on this one!)
~ Bezel: 24-hour bidirectional bezel (not unidirectional like the standard dive versions), used in conjunction with the GMT hand to track a second time zone
~ Dial: matte black dial with the signature Seamaster wave pattern, large luminous “Sword hands” and hour markers, and a bold, red-tipped GMT hand
~ Movement: Omega Caliber 1128 — a chronometer-rated automatic movement with GMT function (based on the ETA 2892-A2 with a GMT module)
~ Crystal: Domed sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating
~ Water Resistance: 300 meters / 1000 feet
~ Date: Date display at 3 o’clock
~ Case Back: Solid stainless steel with Omega Seahorse (Hippocampus) and anniversary “50 YEARS” engravings.
~ Bracelet: Comes standard with Omega's stainless steel 5-link “Bond” style bracelet
~ Lug Width: 20mm

Condition:
This is a worn watch, so it shows expected signs of use. As careful as I am, there are still wear marks along the case, scuffs on the outer bezel and insert, particularly around the 12:00 mark. Please refer to the photos for close-ups. The crystal has a couple scratches which are visible to the eye. The watch still presents well on the wrist, though of course macro photos will exaggerate imperfections. Please ask if you would like more photos of certain angles that I may have missed. This would be a good candidate for polishing, which would bring it back to its beautiful original condition.

The movement winds smoothly, sets properly. On my timographer, it's running at an average of +5 seconds per day depending on direction of course, with an amplitude of 233 (tested after sitting for several weeks and given a quick wind).

Included with the watch:

~ Comes on 5 link Bond bracelet with OEM spring bars and fold over dive buckle with wetsuit extension. There is one half link included in the bracelet for micro sizing. I have a 7-3/4” wrist and it fits comfortably with a pinkie finger of play.
~ Original Inner and outer box (inner flaking as they do)
~ Serialized chronometer warranty certificate
~ Original serialized hang tag
~ A few AM inserts I picked up for changing up the look. There is an OEM bezel as well, which I used for the AM insert as I didn’t want to take the OEM insert out of the original bezel.

Price:
Asking price of $2100 USD includes insured shipping within the CONUS. Message me for shipping outside of the CONUS. I accept most common forms of payment — feel free to reach out to discuss options.

This watch is also cross-posted on Omega Forums, where I’ve done more business, I am happy to provide references upon request. I’m based in the Lower Florida Keys and would consider meeting in person within a reasonable distance for a serious buyer.

Sold as-is, with no additional warranties beyond the description and extensive photos I’ve provided. I’m always happy to talk if you feel the watch wasn’t described accurately. I’m a long-time hobbyist who takes pride in keeping his collection well-maintained.

Thanks for looking!
