Up for sale is a vintage Omega 2791-4, a 36mm stainless steel piece in very nice condition with a beautiful textured dial and strong wrist presence. This watch features clean lines, gold-tone furniture, and a classic sub-seconds layout that gives it a refined vintage aesthetic.

Dial: Crisp white textured dial with crosshair sub-seconds and applied Omega logo. The gold-tone hands and indices offer striking contrast against the steel case. Warm orange radium lume accents the “tooth” indices. Minor scratches are visible on the crystal but do not detract from overall presentation.

Case: 36mm stainless steel case with well-defined bevels and “Waterproof” still clearly visible on the caseback. Press-on caseback fits securely. This case has strong wrist presence and wears nicely on the wrist.

Movement: The watch is not currently running and will require a service. The crown winds as expected and the movement appears complete, but I am not a watchmaker. It has not run in my possession. I had planned to service it but never got around to it, and I’m now rightsizing my collection.

The watch is located in NY and is sold head-only. Asking $925 OBO shipped CONUS. International shipping at cost. No returns unless grossly misrepresented. I have many references on here under my name. Quickpay/Zelle/Paypal accepted.

Founded at La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland in 1848 by 23-year-old Louis Brandt who assembled key-wound precision pocket watches from parts supplied by local craftsmen. He travelled throughout Europe selling his watches from Italy to Scandinavia by way of England, his chief market. After Louis Brandt's death in 1879, his two sons Louis-Paul and Cesar, troubled by irregular deliveries of questionable quality, abandoned the unsatisfactory assembly workshop system in favour of in-house manufacturing and total production control. Due to the greater supply of manpower, communications and energy in Bienne, the enterprise moved into a small factory in January 1880, then bought the entire building in December. Two years later the company moved into a converted spinning-factory in the Gurzelen district of Bienne, where headquarters are still situated today. Their first series-produced calibres, Labrador and Gurzelen, as well as, the famous Omega calibre of 1894, would ensure the brand's marketing success.
