Yet another gorgeous timepiece created by my friend Lothar. He is an older German guy with incredible watchmaking skills, but zero internet skills. So far, I have had the privilege of being the only person to offer his works for sale online. I have sold many of his pieces right here on r/watchexchange and I will provide several examples of his other works in the comments. This is an example of a "conversion watch" or "marriage watch". The movement, dial and hands originally came from a pocket watch and are fitted into a wristwatch case. The movement, dial and hands were all made by Ulysse Nardin in Locle, Switzerland. Pics: https://imgur.com/a/RQeHBpr Timestamp: https://imgur.com/a/CJy0UeJ This watch contains a top -grade Swiss-made 1890's movement made from solid nickel. The movement was made in-house by Ulysse Nardin. This watch is "double signed" meaning that both the movement and dial are signed "Ulysse Nardin - Locle". The movement was serviced just a few weeks ago. It is running very smoothly and keeps time well. It's amazing to see a ~130 year old machine that's still running so smoothly! This is a "pin -set" movement, so you change time by turning the crown while the pin is pushed in. Very easy and comfortable to use. The watch features a flawless porcelain dial with no scratches, cracks, or damage of any kind. 12-hour dial with Roman numeral indices. The dial and hands are original to the movement. 42mm all stainless steel case with exhibition-back. Total thickness is approximately 10mm. 20mm lugs, set on a new two-piece leather strap. Strap worn only once (for photos). What a stunning piece! A rare chance to own a top quality conversion watch in a tasteful and comfortable size. Asking $869 USD OBO including shipping within North America. Great international shipping rates available too.
