Grand Seiko vintage 6146-8000 Gold Cap reference, less common than stainless steel, from 1968 the golden age of Grand Seiko. Beautiful warm gold tone with cream colored dial. In excellent overall condition, running well.

Case: Gold cap case with classic "Grammar of Design" by designer Taro Tanaka, with preserved caselines. Caseback good original condition gold GS medallion original and well preserved. These Gold Cap watches do not have same degree of sharpness on caselines as the steel versions. This one is is good condition may have had some hand polishing but not much. Protective caseback sticker in place.
Dial: Cream color dial in excellent original condition with original handset. Day/date version.
Movement: 6146A 25J High Beat 36000 BPH, seconds hand seems to float smoothly, running well keeping excellent vintage time. Date and day set properly.
Crystal appears original but may have been replaced hard to tell
Bracelet- nice brown leather strap with minimal wear.

Overall a lovely well preserved vintage Gold Cap Grand Seiko 6146-8000, from golden era of Grand Seiko.
