Hi everyone, Up for grabs is a lovely 1958 Omega Seamaster ref. 2846, featuring the early automatic Cal. 501 and that beautifully crisp “jumbo” hippocampus medallion on the caseback — a detail Omega only used briefly in '58 before switching to the smaller version. A nice touch of early Seamaster history. Freshly serviced in May 2025 and keeping excellent time (video available). It’s a solid all-rounder — clean lines, dressy proportions, and vintage charm without being delicate. Ready to wear straight out the box. **Condition** **Dial:** Original silver dial in excellent shape with no retouching. Applied logo and text are all clean, and the hour markers feature onyx inlays that pop nicely in the light. Great legibility and strong vintage character. **Case:** 34.5mm stainless steel case with beefy lugs and solid presence. Some light wear consistent with age, and may have seen a light polish long ago — but lugs are still sharp with good definition. **Crystal:** Original Omega-signed acrylic crystal with minor hairlines. Clean and clear overall. **Crown:** Original Omega clover crown, period-correct and functioning smoothly. **Movement:** Omega Cal. 501 automatic, just serviced in May 2025 by my watchmaker.
