Hello,
It's been quite some time since I have been here on the forum (I had a watch stolen from me (Omega 166.024) and it left a sour taste for quite some time but I am slowly getting back in this hobby 😁) .
Anyways, I have some pieces that I haven't worn since quite some time and I need some fund for a new watch.
I am thus putting up for sale a nice IWC from the 1960s with one of my very favorite range of caliber, a pellaton caliber 853.
This particular reference is slightly bigger than its contemporary models. Its case is 36mm of diameter without the crown.
I would like 850EUR net to me.
I accept PayPal (fees at the charge of the buyer ~+3%) for well established forum members only and bank wire for every potential buyer.
I am located in France so EU deals preferred. If located outside EU, the buyer is responsible for any additional taxes.
Shipping fees are free if shipped within EU. For outside EU, I'll have to check separately.
I accept returns if grossly misrepresented.

Reference : R 647A
Movement : 853
Movement serial number : 1 728 124
Case serial number : 1 806 394
Approximative year : circa 1966
Case dimensions : 36mm of diameter - 43.3mm of lug span - 11.3mm of thickness - 18mm of lug width
Remarks :
- The watch is in working condition. I haven't noticed any major time variation while on the wrist. However I don't know the service history. The movement looks clean.
- The case has scratches and dings. I tried to make them as visible as possible in the photos. The major ones are on the top of the bezel and the right flank of the case.
- The dial is a beautiful sunburst champagne dial. It has the really nice cursive IWC logo, a signature of the IWCs of this era. It has some very small dots/stains here and there. They are visible in the photos.
- The strap is aftermarket and is almost brand new ; I haven't worn it more than 30 minutes total.

Here is a screenshot from the "DateYourIWC" website. It gives an estimate of the year of the case and movement based on the serial numbers:
