This is a gorgeous and unusual Seamaster from the late ‘50s. Beautiful cal. 501. Decent vintage condition, please refer to the photos. I believe it to be a redial so the price reflects that. As watches get older I think we will see more and more redials. However, some are done well and others, well, not so much. I really enjoy this tobacco sunburst with the gold indices. It’s not the first I’ve had. Some believe these were done in Argentina around the ‘70s. The text is clear and accurate, the applied omega symbol is perfect (and I believe original), and the indices look great. Edit- I found the box this came with! It’s so cool. Please see photos. Also, it has now been suggested that these were not redials, they were for South American market only. 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️ I haven’t verified that, so take as you will. Original omega crown, omega buckle, and fantastic original hippocampus/seahorse embossed medallion caseback. The movement has been cleaned, oiled and is keeping good time.
