For sale is an unpolished near mint condition 26mm 18 karat yellow gold and stainless steel Rolex Datejust 26 featuring an extremely rare factory champagne Mother of Pearl “Teardrop” diamond dial. The Y645,XXX serial 79173 was originally retailed in 2004 and is accompanied by a truly complete full box and papers set, including the serialized hang tag, and down to the original retailer bow used to wrap the box when new.  The Datejust features a brushed stainless steel case with a fluted yellow gold bezel and is mounted on its original 78243 gold and steel Oyster bracelet, which remains fully linked with 13 links and comfortably fits a 7.45-inch wrist. The watch is fitted with an exceptionally rare factory champagne Mother-of-Pearl Teardrop diamond dial, featuring applied polished yellow gold teardrop (pear-shaped) hour markers, factory set teardrop (pear-shaped) diamond markers at 6 and 9 o’clock, polished gold hands, and a magnified date window aperture at 3 o’clock. Powering the 79173 is the automatic winding Rolex Caliber 2235, offering approximately 48 hours of power reserve and running flawlessly.  **Condition:**  The unpolished case retains crisp factory brush lines, while the fluted bezel remains razor sharp and well defined. The case also retains its original caseback sticker, which is fully present and largely intact.
