This is one of those pieces that quietly reminds you just how serious Universal Genève once was. The Gilt Shadow sits within UG’s ultra-thin lineage, developed at a time when the brand was competing directly with names like Patek Philippe and Jaeger-LeCoultre in the pursuit of thinness and refinement. Inside is the micro-rotor automatic caliber 2-67, a movement that represents the peak of UG’s technical capability—compact, elegant, and genuinely impressive even by today’s standards. The gold-plated case measures 34mm wide and 40mm lug-to-lug, with a slim 8.5mm profile. On the wrist, it wears flat, light, and effortless. The dial features applied stick markers and the distinctive chunky “U” logo at 12, a detail that instantly places it in Universal Genève’s golden era. No lume, no clutter—just proportion and restraint. The watch is in excellent condition with zero scratches and dents. Crystal is nice and clean, and dial is flawless.
