It represents a refined evolution of the earlier GP 7000 Chronographs from the 1980s, retaining their vintage appeal while embracing a more modern, balanced aesthetic. One of the key updates is the transition to a 3-6-9 subdial layout, offering improved legibility and symmetry. The date is subtly integrated between 4 and 5 o’clock, maintaining visual harmony without sacrificing utility. What sets this piece apart is its bold, matte black dial contrasted with crisp white printing, delivering a design that feels both sporty and timeless. The luminous Arabic numeral at 12 o’clock, paired with baton indexes and steel arrow hands, ensures readability in any light. A sapphire crystal tops it all off, keeping the look clean and contemporary. The 38mm case (excluding the crown) wears exceptionally well, thanks to well-proportioned straight lugs and a thoughtfully contoured profile. At 12mm thick, it strikes a balanced wrist presence. The three-body case features polished and brushed surfaces, a solid caseback secured with six screws, and a steel bezel engraved with a tachymeter scale up to 240 units per hour. Inside, the watch is powered by the Caliber 2280, a reliable ETA base movement upgraded with a Dubois-Depraz chronograph module. It offers smooth pusher action and robust performance, favoring serviceability and reliability over in-house complexity. The movement is rhodium-plated with 57 jewels, a straight-line lever escapement, monometallic balance, shock absorber, self-compensating flat balance spring, and a hacking seconds mechanism. This watch is in excellent condition, showing minor hairline scratches from careful wear. Crystal is nice and clean. Watch comes fit on the OEM bracelet that fits up to 20cm (8 inches), bracelet is in great condition with no stretch. The watch has been serviced recently so it keeps great time. Although, it doesn’t come with original box, a standard watch box will be provided upon receive. Price: $1900 + $35 flat shipping (via FedEx/DHL – shipping costs me $70-80, I cover half). Payment via PayPal F&F or G&S (+4.6% fee paid by buyer). Not accepting trades. Feel free to message me with any questions or if you're interested. Have a great day!
