Pre-pandemic I wore a suit every day, post pandemic I primarily work from home. Working to whittle down my watch collection to 2 pieces which would include a grail purchase and this is the second Omega that did not make the cut. This was my first vintage time piece and started my appreciation for older pieces which is primarily what my collection was made of.
This Omega Seamaster was purchased by me in the summer 2016 from a watch dealer in Canada. When I purchased it, the case was polished and movement serviced. It was primarily used as a dress watch for fancier occasions so I'd say on average it was worn 2x a month. Never been in the water, dropped, or otherwise damaged. It has not been serviced since purchase, but has never caused any issues with accuracy when I wear it.
I would rate the case overall in great 7/10 condition given its age. Domed plexi crystal is in excellent condition with no gouges or serious damage, bezel really only has a small mark near 9 o'clock. Case has minor swirl markings around the polished areas. Obvious bend in the leather strap from being worn, but leather itself is supple, pliable, and not stretched out. The silver/white dial has aged to a warm ivory cream and shows absolutely amazing natural patina. The dial has not been repainted and is original. Dauphine hands are in great shape, some corrosion (?) noticeable on the second hand. Caseback has pronounced hippocampus engraving. Signed Omega crown.
Being my first vintage watch purchase I remember thinking how small 34mm was when I first put it on. But now I think 34-38mm is an absolute sweet spot for watches. I wore this on my 7" wrist and not only does it wear beautifully, it disappears under shirt cuffs and shines only when you need it to. I've always worn it on a deep navy blue alligator strap, but also have a brand new black alligator strap that I'll include with the same.

Matt
