Skindiver

The Wolbrook Skindiver takes the compact, plainly legible skin-diver formula and adds a useful twist: the Skindiver WT has a world-time bezel rather than the usual elapsed-time scale. That gives it a different character from another vintage-styled diver—one suited to keeping track of people across time zones as well as wearing by the water.

The Skindiver WT uses Seiko’s VH31 quartz movement, whose seconds hand advances in several small steps each second rather than one conspicuous tick. It’s worth knowing that before choosing: the sweeping hand doesn’t mean there’s an automatic movement inside. For a vintage Wolbrook, establish which bezel and dial configuration you’re buying rather than assuming it offers the modern watch’s world-time function; the Skindiver name spans more than today’s revived design.
