Nereide

The Venezianico Nereide is a dive-watch family, not a single specification: compact and larger cases, different automatic movements, and several bezel materials sit beneath the same name. Its common language is straightforward—prominent luminous markers, a rotating bezel, and a dial built around quick legibility—though some branches deliberately trade that restraint for a view of the mechanics.

Earlier examples carry the Meccaniche Veneziane name, preceding the company’s change to Venezianico in 2022. That branding is a useful first dividing line between generations, but it does not identify the movement or case size by itself. The familiar 39 mm and 42 mm versions give the conventional Nereide two distinctly different wrist presences; neither dimension defines the whole family.

The suffixes explain the more substantial departures. Nereide Tungsteno uses a tungsten bezel insert, while Nereide Ceramica takes the ceramic route. Nereide GMT adds a second-time-zone display; Nereide Bronzo changes the case material to bronze. Nereide Ultraleggero is the openworked branch, with the movement becoming part of the dial’s architecture rather than remaining hidden behind it.
