Seiko Presage brings together dress-minded watches whose character often starts with the dial: pressed patterns, enamel, lacquer, or porcelain, rather than a single case design or movement. The family ranges from the barroom-inspired Cocktail Time to the angular Sharp Edged Series, with quite different proportions and mechanical arrangements beneath the Presage name.

Presage became a global collection in 2016, though its Japanese-market roots run deeper. Cocktail Time is recognizable by its expressive dial textures and polished cases; the Sharp Edged Series, introduced in 2020, pairs faceted cases with an asanoha hemp-leaf pattern. The Style 60s takes its cues from Seiko’s 1964 Crown Chronograph, borrowing its period detailing without making every version a chronograph. The Craftsmanship models instead put traditional dial-making techniques at the center.

The movement designation helps separate generations that can look deceptively close. Many models use the 4R35, while the 6R15, 6R35, and newer 6R55 mark different branches of the mechanical range. Slimmer 6L35 models take another route, and selected references such as SNR037 use Spring Drive, with its smoothly gliding seconds hand.
