Explore Perrelet

A Perrelet is often recognizable before you read the name on its dial. The Turbine collection, introduced in 2009, puts a freely spinning, twelve-blade wheel above the dial, borrowing the look of a jet engine. A flick of the wrist sends it whirling, briefly revealing the surface beneath. It is mechanical theater with an important distinction: those blades are decorative, not the rotor that winds the movement.

The Swiss brand takes its name from Abraham-Louis Perrelet, whose work on self-winding mechanisms dates to 1777. That connection to automatic winding runs through its modern identity. Introduced in 1995, the Double Rotor made a functional dial-side winding rotor part of the design, giving the wearer a view of something usually hidden behind the caseback.

The Turbine remains the collection to know, with openworked versions and patterned underdials taking its moving display in different directions. The Double Rotor offers a quieter expression of the same fascination: making the motion inside a mechanical watch visible on the wrist.
