Oceaneva approaches the dive watch with a taste for substantial cases and unusually adventurous dials. The American brand’s Deep Marine Explorer family pairs familiar rotating bezels and luminous markers with aquamarine, mother-of-pearl, and Damascus finishes. These are watches whose depth ratings demand attention, but whose color choices give you something else to talk about.

The Deep Marine Explorer II Titanium is a useful starting point: a 42mm titanium case and bracelet, ceramic bezel, domed sapphire crystal, and 1,250-meter water-resistance rating. Inside sits the automatic Sellita SW200-1. The specifications are emphatically those of a diver; a white mother-of-pearl dial brings a softer, shifting surface to all that brushed metal.

The Deep Marine Explorer VI takes the engineering further, with Grade 5 titanium and a 6,000-meter rating. Its GMT relative uses the Miyota 9075, adding a second time zone to the deep-diving brief. That extra mechanism adds 1.2mm of case thickness over the brand’s SW200-powered 6,000-meter series.
