Explore OceanX
OceanX speaks a familiar dive-watch language: broad rotating bezels, luminous markers, and cases that make their presence felt on the wrist. Founded in 2017, the Chinese brand concentrates on that vocabulary rather than trying to cover every corner of watchmaking. Its designs openly echo established Swiss divers, particularly the proportions and dial layouts associated with Rolex’s underwater watches.
The Sharkmaster 1000 is central to the story. Its substantial case, prominent bezel, and depth rating give it the character of a saturation diver rather than a discreet everyday watch. The Sharkmaster 300 takes a more conventional dive-watch approach, with cleaner proportions and the familiar combination of round hour plots, rectangular markers, and a triangle at twelve.
Many OceanX automatics use Seiko’s NH35, a straightforward movement with hand-winding and hacking seconds. Around that practical foundation, the brand experiments with dial colors and bezel combinations. Those variations matter: within a deliberately familiar silhouette, a different dial can change the whole mood of the watch.
