Marloe takes its name from Marlow, the English riverside town, but its watches look further afield for their stories. Founded in the United Kingdom in 2015, the brand began with an enthusiasm for mechanical watchmaking and a distinctly graphic approach to design. Clear typography, carefully separated dial elements and unexpected flashes of colour give its watches personality without making them difficult to read.

The Cherwell established that approach with a hand-wound movement, small seconds and a dial that balanced restraint with depth. The Haskell took things in a more purposeful direction: a Swiss-made, manually wound watch whose Antarctic inspiration informs its straightforward layout. Both reward the small daily ritual of winding rather than hiding the mechanics behind a battery.

The Coniston draws on Donald Campbell and Bluebird’s speed-record story, translating that subject into colour and instrument-like detailing. The Morar, named for the Scottish loch, brings a more muscular dive-watch shape to the range, with a rotating bezel and bold luminous markers.
