Explore Maranez
Maranez belongs to the enthusiast-led corner of watchmaking where a substantial case and an uncomplicated dial do most of the talking. Its watches draw on familiar dive-watch shapes, but brass cases give many of them a different character from the usual steel sports watch. Fresh metal is only the starting point: exposure and handling gradually darken the surface, making the case finish part of the watch’s evolving appearance.
The Layan is a good place to understand that approach. Its broad cushion case, large crown, and spare dial put the emphasis on shape and legibility. There is something deliberately straightforward about the combination: generous luminous markers, sturdy proportions, and little ornament to distract from either.
The Samui takes a more conventional dive-watch route, with a round case and rotating timing bezel. Alongside the larger, cushion-shaped Bangla, it shows how Maranez works within a fairly narrow vocabulary while changing the balance between case geometry, dial color, and the warmth of exposed metal.
