With Limes, the case is a good place to start. Behind the German brand is Ickler, the Pforzheim case manufacturer whose work gives these watches their particular character: crisp transitions between surfaces, carefully shaped lugs, and an attention to construction that rewards a closer look. Launched in 1999, Limes gave that manufacturing expertise a dial name of its own, pairing German-made cases with Swiss mechanical movements.

The Pharo collection shows the quieter side of the workshop. Clear dials, restrained proportions, and polished surfaces put the emphasis on legibility and shape rather than decoration. There’s a pleasing directness here: the hands and markers do their jobs, while the case supplies much of the visual interest.

Endurance takes that same approach underwater, with rotating dive bezels, luminous displays, and more substantial construction. These are the sportier counterpoint to Pharo, trading dress-watch restraint for equipment-like clarity. Across the two collections, the family resemblance comes less from a signature dial flourish than from the metalwork surrounding it.
