Helberg takes the dive watch in a direction that owes more to experimental deep-sea equipment than to the neatly proportioned desk diver. The German brand, established in 2013 and closely associated with H2O Watch, favors substantial cases, pronounced bezels, and crystals that make their presence felt. These are watches for someone who finds the engineering of a diver as interesting as its dial.

The CH1 gives that approach its most unmistakable expression. Its towering domed crystal and oversized case recall the extraordinary watches built for early deep-sea experiments, rather than ordinary recreational diving. Seen from the side, the crystal becomes the defining feature: less a discreet window over the hands than a substantial part of the watch’s architecture.

The CH6 brings the same taste for physical substance into a more familiar dive-watch shape. Bronze versions are particularly characteristic, pairing a broad bezel and domed crystal with a case whose surface changes with wear. The attraction is tactile as much as visual: metal, glass, and deliberately generous proportions.
