Explore Furlan Marri
Furlan Marri’s early chronographs speak a language familiar to anyone who has lingered over mid-century auction catalogues: stepped cases, mushroom pushers, finely drawn scales, and restrained dial lettering. Founded in Switzerland in 2021, the brand brought those details into compact, 38mm watches without simply copying one vintage reference. The pleasure is in how carefully the pieces fit together.
The original Mecaquartz collection uses Seiko’s VK64, pairing quartz timekeeping with a mechanically actuated chronograph. That distinction matters: these are deliberately designed watches, not mechanical chronographs in disguise. The Mechanical collection takes another route, with sector dials, distinctive lugs, and the automatic La Joux-Perret G100. Its quieter, time-only format gives the casework and dial geometry more room to breathe.
Then there’s the Disco Volante, whose broad, rounded bezel and concealed lugs turn the wristwatch into something closer to a polished pebble. A hand-wound Peseux 7001 keeps it slim. It’s a different silhouette from the chronographs, but the same attention to proportion is easy to recognize.
