Eska’s back catalogue moves between two very different worlds: refined dress watches with cloisonné enamel dials, and divers with broad bezels and emphatic luminous numerals. The Swiss maker produced chronographs and complications too, giving its vintage watches a variety that the modern diving collection only partly reveals. There is more here than a single rediscovered design.

The Amphibian 600 is the link between old Eska and new. Its elongated lugs, countdown bezel and large Arabic numerals supplied the visual vocabulary for the revival, launched in 2024 by two watch enthusiasts. The original also carried a power-reserve indicator at twelve—a distinctive detail in an otherwise purposeful diving dial.

The contemporary Amphibian 250 keeps those sweeping lugs and the countdown bezel, pairing a sapphire bezel insert with a sandwich dial. Its 40mm steel case and 250-metre water resistance give the old design a practical modern footing. The Black Shark and White Shark versions take that same bold arrangement in contrasting directions, without losing the family resemblance.
