Eberhard’s story runs through the chronograph: watches with useful scales, clearly drawn registers, and enough dial detail to reward a second look. Founded in Switzerland in 1887, the company made timing instruments a defining part of its identity. The Extra-fort collection carries that thread into dressier territory, pairing chronograph layouts with applied markers and cases that feel at home beneath a shirt cuff.

Then there is the Chrono 4, introduced in 2001. Its four subsidiary dials sit side by side across the lower half of the dial rather than in the familiar triangular arrangement. Minutes, hours, a 24-hour indication, and running seconds become a horizontal dashboard. It is an unusual solution to a familiar watchmaking problem, and unmistakably Eberhard.

The 8 Jours takes another route, with a manually wound movement offering eight days of power reserve and an indicator tracking what remains. For a more sporting expression, the Scafograf 300 brings a rotating dive bezel, luminous markers, and broad hands to the wrist.
