Explore Bamford
Bamford made its name by giving familiar watches an unfamiliar face: blackened cases, unexpected dial colors, and details tailored to an owner’s taste. Founded in England in 2004 by George Bamford, Bamford Watch Department developed a recognizable vocabulary around customization. Turquoise against black became a particularly memorable combination, bringing a graphic edge to otherwise sober sports watches.
That approach eventually extended beyond modifying other makers’ designs. Alongside collaborations with TAG Heuer and Zenith, Bamford London established its own watch collections. The quartz Mayfair carries the same appetite for color into a compact, cushion-shaped case, with an internal rotating bezel that gives the dial a layered look rather than a flat expanse.
The automatic GMT takes that design language traveling, pairing a 24-hour hand with an internal rotating bezel and frequently contrasting colors. The B347 moves in a different direction: a carbon-fiber case and a monopusher chronograph, with one button controlling start, stop, and reset. Its two-register dial keeps the display spare while the case material supplies the texture.
