Explore Arnold & Son

Arnold & Son carries the name of John Arnold, the English watchmaker whose work on marine chronometers helped sailors establish longitude at sea. Its roots reach back to 1764, but today’s watches are Swiss-made, with movements developed and produced in La Chaux-de-Fonds. That meeting of English chronometry and contemporary Swiss watchmaking gives the brand its particular character: orderly displays, unusually open architecture, and mechanisms worth watching as closely as the hands.

The Time Pyramid makes that architecture explicit, arranging its skeletonised movement vertically between two sapphire crystals. The Nebula takes a different approach, using radiating bridges to create an almost diagrammatic symmetry. Neither treats the movement as something merely to reveal; its structure becomes the face of the watch.

For a more traditional dial, the Perpetual Moon gives an oversized moon-phase display room to breathe. The DSTB, short for Dial-Side True Beat, brings its jumping-seconds mechanism onto the dial, turning the measured, one-second steps associated with precision chronometry into a small mechanical performance.
