Armin Strom puts the movement where you can see it—and gives you something worth studying. Founded in Switzerland in 1967, the brand grew from its namesake watchmaker’s skill at hand-skeletonizing movements. That taste for revealing the mechanism still shapes its watches: offset dials, exposed bridges, and finishing that rewards a loupe rather than a passing glance.
The Mirrored Force Resonance, introduced in 2016, makes that openness especially purposeful. Two balance wheels sit in full view, their hairsprings linked by a resonance clutch spring designed to bring their oscillations into synchronization. It is an unusually direct way to encounter resonance: not as an abstract claim on a dial, but as a mechanical relationship you can watch.
Other collections explore different aspects of the movement. The automatic Gravity Equal Force uses a stop-work mechanism to restrict the mainspring to its more consistent operating range. The manually wound One Week offers seven days of running, while Tribute 1 pairs an off-center dial with a prominently displayed barrel.
