Up for sale today is a beautiful piece of mid-century horology: a **Zodiac Triple Date Moonphase** powered by the manual wind Caliber 1100. These complicated calendar watches from the 50s offer incredible value for the mechanical complexity they provide. Lovely cream/white dial with applied gold indices. It features windows for Day and Month, a sub-dial for the Moonphase, and a red-tipped pointer hand for the Date. All of the correctors (pushers) for the day, date, month and moon phase are working properly. The watch winds smooth and is keeping good time. The time grapher shows its only losing between 4 and 10 seconds a day, excellent for a 70 year old watch. The 33mm gold tone case is in excellent vintage condition, with vibrant gold color intact and no pitting at all.
