While it carries all the hallmarks of a modern Seiko, with its GS inspired case, 6R movement, punchy dial, and chunky dauphine hands - it has one unmistakable throwback. **The Crystal.** A quad-faceted sapphire. Not something Seiko has experimented with much since the ‘70s. Is it a feature I’d want on most watches? Absolutely not. But when the facet geometry is paired with the right dial design, count me in. **The Design.** On the SARB001, the crystal acts like porthole, as the piercing blue fumé dial draws your eyes into its centre. It undeniably works, and given that Seiko made three colour variants - blue, black and orange - there’s something for everyone.   # Details: **Condition:** In great condition overall.
