Just got this in a trade. Beautiful watch, but probably won’t replace my dress watch. Since SARX 105 is not well-known, here’s a run down: It’s a 40.2mm watch with a handmade lacquer/urushi dial. The white dial has a hue and sheen that’s unlike anything that I’ve owned. It’s really bright white, but has a warmness to it. That’s why it’s in the craftsmanship series. The case and the bracelet have hardened coating, which changes the color slightly and adds to the feeling that you are wearing a very high quality watch. Not the usual Seiko fare. As far as the dial is concerned, I’d also put it above the entry level Grand Seikos. It is touted as a budget alternative to the Credor Eichi GBLT999 It runs on the 6R55 movement, which has a 72-hour power reserve. I immediately put the watch on an taupe epsom strap to check and yes, it looks better on epsom than it does on the bracelet. This is a full kit, including the signed warranty card. $850 OBO.
