I’m selling my lightly used Praesidus C-47 “D-Day” watch because I have too many field watches. This is the sold-out limited run, heavy-patina dial variant, so the aluminum dial (made from salvaged C-47 Skytrain aircraft material) has a lot of unique character from the plane’s life. The watch body was worn maybe 15 times, but the original strap has never been used. It runs on the Miyota 9039 automatic movement and wears comfortably at 38mm with classic A-11 field-watch proportions. Field watches with design history are nothing new, but this is a rare instance in which you get a piece of actual history without having to buy a mechanically old watch.
